A seasoned educationist, a prolific media personality, a passionate entrepreneur, a business enabler, modern design thinker and a master turnaround strategist, Chetan Sharma, works at the intersection of education, media, employability and entrepreneurship– educating aspirants to make them job worthy, guiding entrepreneurs on building scalable companies and enduring brands. He is also a committed life and career coach who has helped hundreds of clients find purpose and success, and quite often, both.
Chetan is Founder of the “AHEAD GROUP” which launched INDIA’s first educational Web TV (Edumate) focused on addressing the need gaps in our higher education ecosphere including educational institutions, educationists , government , industry and the fraternity of students and teachers. Aligned with the needs of India’s New Education policy 2020, the channel salutes the path breaking vision of the policy while acknowledging the deep rooted challenges on the ground in fulfilling it, thereby committing itself to the noble cause of making it a success by highlighting the gaps, identifying solutions and creating opportunities through discussions, dialogues and debates aimed at solutions and decisions. At the core of its concern lies employability, the digital divide, teacher training and above all a critical shift in mindset from teaching to mentoring, from physical to hybrid, from learning to unlearning, from marks to life skills, from good scores to good citizens. It aims to build a repository of the best thoughts from across the globe in its effort to build a self-reliant India by incubating thought leaders, entrepreneurs and social thinkers.
Edumate has engaged in a record 5000 meaningful conversations on its platform since the outbreak of the pandemic and won 9 national and international awards for the same.
Chetan has been felicitated by the former President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee for his outstanding contribution to education through media.
Chetan has worked in leadership positions as CEO, Editor and Prime time anchor across all leading national channels including NDTV, India Today, Star News, Zee news and engaged at multiple levels with Al Jazeera, Bloomberg and BBC.

He attributes a large part of his success to early career mentorship and believes in paying it forward. As an ICF certified Leadership coach (USA), Master NLP practitioner (UK) he collaborates with large corporate teams to design their leadership curriculum. At an individual level he has coached several hundred clients across professions and career stages – CEO’s, managers, executives, bureaucrats, and entrepreneurs, working with each one of them to build their own authentic success story. Chetan enjoys scripting and doing voice over for ad films and radio and exhibits his deep sense of philanthropy through his NGO – CSR foundation (palliative care) and as founder board member of Shrishti (education for the girl child and street children).
On the advisory board of leading companies, Chetan, brings his expertise as an entrepreneur, network as a journalist and knowledge as an educationist with a pedigree from prestigious global institutions – Entrepreneurship ( London Business School), Negotiation mastery ( Harvard Business School ) and Design Thinking and Leadership (Stanford University) ‘A serial entrepreneur since 1995, Chetan, post MBA ( finance & marketing ) first turned around his family business -a single factory manufacturing set up into a diversified B2C company with multi-city operations , growing the turnover 30X over 5 years. Ever since, he has incubated several businesses in global media & advertising, financial services, manufacturing and hospitality, and has been a primary investor in high momentum categories like fashion, education and travel.
