Dr. B. S. Parimal is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda Vadodara, Gujarat since 1997. His PhD thesis was on "Comparative study of Value, Personality and Mental Health among Scheduled-Caste and Non-Scheduled-Caste Students". He has presented 15 research papers at National and International Conferences. He has Published 07 research papers in National and 05 International reviewed/referred journals. His specialization is Clinical Psychology and areas of interest for teaching are Positive Psychology, Health Psychology, Educational Psychology and Counselling Psychology. His Research interests include Stress Management, Interpersonal Relationship Skills, Happiness and Mental Health Awareness Programmes in Community. He has been NSS Programme Officer at University level, Dean of students at Faculty level and UGC nominee at National level. He has been felicitated recently for his contribution in teaching field by International Association of Lions Club. His Life motto is "Learn Psychology, Teach Psychology and Live Psychology”.
He is also one of the Editorial Team members in SquarePetals webzine and published many poems and articles in the webzine.
Dr. Parimal is an LLB and he had also officiated as Dean of Students in the year 2019-2021 and then as Dean of Sports from 2021, at MSU Baroda.
Dr. B. S. Parimal has been awarded with the prestigious Rabindranath Tagore International prize for Art and Literature this year.
