I am Mrs. R. Thiruchelvi, Assistant Professor & Admission Advisor, Department of Bio-Engineering, Vels Institute of Science, Technology and Advanced Studies, Chennai, India. I have dedicated to academics and research in latest cutting-edge technologies in the field of biotechnology. My research findings illuminate on Environmental Biotechnology, Marine Biology, Cell Culture, Biopolymers, Drug Discovery, Regimen and Development. My passion for research led me as expert in proposal submission, research methodology, problem formulation and publication. I have published more than 20 research and review papers in esteemed peer reviewed Scopus indexed national and international journals and 5 more book chapters too. Honored for Active contribution to VISTAS as Admission Representation of Biotech Department for the year 2017-2018 & 2018-2019. My interest towards Environment has significantly contributed to the Development of Bio-Nano composite degradable Plastic Patented and published according to IPR. I am honored as the Benthaman Open Ambassador from India, on the “The Open Biotechnology journal”, “The Natural Products Research. I have completed several projects and have guided more than 20 Engineering undergraduate Projects adding to credit. Awarded “Global Contour Award” on International Workers day-2021 & Symposium on Dignity of Work organized by ACE International Pte Ltd, Singapore & Edufam International Academy, New Delhi, India. Awarded “Women’s Achievers Award 2021” under Educationalist Category by star awards. Awarded “Top 2nd Place on TAMILNADU WOMEN ACHIEVERS AWARD 2021 (TNWAA)” under Science and Technology. I have been honored and awarded the title of “Most Promising Women Educators in Tamil Nadu” by the academic council of ULektz and have won third best price in Nanochallenge-2018 at PSG college of Technology for developing Bioplastics using Nanotechnology. Honored with award “Exceptional Women of Excellence” on the Women Economic forum (WEF) January 2020. Awarded as “Outstanding Research work in the field of Biotechnology 2020” by Human Rights Education Award HREA 2020. Awarded best “Outstanding Faculty Research” on 6th annual research award 2020, by Research Gateway, New Delhi. Honored by FSIA as “THE REAL SUPER WOMAN 2020” under the teaching category for doing marvelous effort and limitless attitude for our society. Awarded as “AIR International Eminent Women Achiever” on 2020 by Academy of Innovation for Researchers (AIR), India. Awarded ad “Best Young Faculty Award 2020 -2021” under the category of Bioengineering & B. Tech Biotechnology, by Novel Research Academy, Pondicherry, India. Awarded “Educator Excellence Award 2020” by Vedant Foundation, Gujarat, India. My thirst for exploring Biotechnology never quenches, to prove the instance, I have participated in several workshops, Lectures, Symposia, Internships, short-term courses and conferences in presenting papers and posters organized by various research institutions and universities held throughout India. I have been awarded University second rank during my undergraduate and post-graduate programs. I have volunteered as Reviewer for “Heliyon, Journal of King Saud University – Science, Biomass Conversion and Biorefinery, Materials Today Proceedings, Journal of Polymers and the Environment, Scientific Study and Research-Chemistry & Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Food Industry, Science-Alert” journal. I am also Life Member in versatile scientific associations like Life Member in Algae Association of India, Life Member of Biotech Research Association of India, International Society for Research and Development, International Association of Engineers, Teaching and Education Research Association (TERA), Scientific and Technical Research Association (STRA) etc., to name a few. My Thirst towards Science never Ends & Continues, by keeping me to updating new Findings, Technology and Nurturing Research into Product development in young minds.
